to the mountains

“If you are faced with a mountain, you have several options.

You can climb it and cross to the other side.

You can go around it.

You can dig under it.

You can fly over it.

You can ignore it and pretend it’s not there.

You can turn around and go back the way you came.

Or you can stay on the mountain and make it your home.”

- Vera Nazarian

After our two days in J-bay which turned out to be a week- we headed on our way up the coast and inland to Hogsback. We spent our first night at Away with the Fairies- thanks Zanne for hooking us up with such a great room. Snow on the Gaika's kop means camping would have been a liiiitle chilly. Then yesterday we moved on over to where we are now- cosily settled in a cottage with good friends (four and two-legged) and  lush greenery everywhere. Its cold up here, but there's an awesome indoor fireplace and a great big pit just outside and plenty of wattle to burn. Looking forward to some good forest missions and some OB's snow shindiggidys!
